welcome to the hand lettering course!
I’m so glad you have decided to take this lettering course with me. Hand lettering is such a versatile and fun skill and it’s awesome you are choosing to make it one of yours! I had no idea when I first started lettering that it would turn into a business. I have had the opportunity to create not just art prints, but birth announcements, wedding invitations, logos, fonts, stationery, digital designs, personalized gifts, stamps, and more.
My goal is to teach you all the skills I have learned in creating a successful hand-lettering style. I want you to walk away with confidence in your own personal lettering style and I want to give you the tools and resources to continue practicing. Hand lettering takes time and practice, but you can do it!
How this course works
In the following lessons, you are going to learn everything from what supplies to use all the way to how to turn your lettering into professional quality prints. The course includes videos, downloadable PDF practice sheets, and images to help you get a complete look at what you are learning.
The course is meant to be followed in sequence - starting at the “Introduction” and ending at the “Lettering for iPad” - but of course you can skip around as needed. Throughout the course there are PDF downloads for you to print off and use during that lesson. I’ve compiled all of the PDFs used throughout the course in the "Downloads” section of the menu for your convenience in case you want to print them all off at once.
In the next section, I will go over how to set up your space and a couple of supplies I recommend purchasing for you to get started. If you want to sneak a peek, you can check out My Extensive Supply List, which includes all of my favorite supplies.
